In the plating bath containing zinc plating solution, the cleaned and specially pretreated parts to be plated are used as the cathode, and the anode is made of plated metal. The two poles are respectively connected with the positive and negative poles of DC power supply. The galvanizing solution is composed of an aqueous solution containing compounds of plated metal, conductive salts, buffers, pH regulators and additives. After being electrified, the metal ions in the galvanizing solution move to the cathode under the action of potential difference to form a coating. The metal ions formed by the metal of the anode enter the galvanizing solution to maintain the concentration of the plated metal ions. In some cases, such as chromium plating, it is an insoluble anode made of lead and lead antimony alloy, which only plays the role of transmitting electrons and conducting current. The chromium ion concentration in the electrolyte needs to be maintained by regularly adding chromium compounds to the plating solution. During galvanizing, the quality of anode material, composition of galvanizing solution, temperature, current density, energizing time, stirring strength, precipitated impurities, power waveform, etc. will affect the quality of coating, which needs to be controlled in time.
